para badge L/64 real or fake?

    Hi friends,

skiming through the Manion's site I have seen a para badge in

    http://www.manions.com/bid/bid.asp?c...atitem=5408448

My opinion it looks very closed as an zinc Assmann L/64.

I see differences only in rivets and no present marker "A" L/64.

What do you think? ( I have no interest to buy it - only opinions)

    Ciao

    Hello Ivan,

My personnal opinion I believe this badge original, the wreath and the eagle are identical to the classical zinc marqued "A" L/64.

    Assmann "A" L/64 Para badge

Badges come marked or unmarked, but each hersteller could be precisely authentified by his dies caracteristics.

    Best regards,

      Hi Philippe,

for me too it's an orginal badge (one of the few original badges in the Manion's site).

My opinion it's made in very late war's time because the rivets have build very bad.

      Congratulations for your new web-site.

I wish you and your collaborators good job. I will remain waiting for good offers that I'm sure there will be.

      Good luck

        Hi Philippe,
I too agree it is original period piece, but as stated above definately late war produced.
