    Could I please have your expert opinions as to its authenticity.
    This is a new field of collecting for me.

                It looks like an original zinc Osang from these pics. It would be nice to see the wreath clearer though, its so dark its hard to see details.

                I can't comment on the case, as that is not my area.

                  Thank you for your comments.
                  Richard has informed me that the case is a fake, but I am happy enough with that.
                  I personally keep a lot of my badges in reproduction cases. I think they just make a nicer presentation when displayed rather than stuck on a display stand.
                  I keep looking at the badge and I still have my doubts. I am sure that both eagle and wreath are made from zinc; lightening the picture a little the oxidisation is quite clear.
                  What I am still not sure about is if you look at the rear of the badge and magnify it, I think the badge has either been repainted or is it cast?
                  Without sending the good old Euros to the seller I would not be able to have the badge on approval.
