Since I just this press release photo in the other day (from ebay in fact) showing General Schimpf and General Student inspecting members of Fallschirm Pionier Bataillon 3 on May 5, 1944 somewhere in France, I thought I would post it along with one of my favorite bailing wire camos. The heavy Pionier style galvanized bailing wire was obviously attached to the helmet before it was sprayed pea green and a dark green camo. Note some of the camo paint still on the wire and the shadows caused by the wire moving, exposing the base helmet color which was covered by the wire when sprayed.

Willi & Steve: a couple of very nice helmets. As for Prospers badge from Sell.....well.....all I can say is my hands start to shake every time I look at it.........
I know this is only a photo, but it is truly one of my favorite things.
