REPRO ALERT: APB in SILVER on Ebay

This badge falls way short in a number of areas such as the engraving, ( " Fallschirm Jnf. ( 1st ?? ) Btl." ), etc. For one thing, I don't think ( 1st ) is even German, secondly nomenclature for a Btl. would be I, II, etc., and lastly there was only one FIB so it would not be numbered I,II, etc. in the first place.

The reason I am posting this is because of the pin. They are really getting close. Notice the curvature and how it is tapered.

With 6 days to go this thing already has 7 bids and is up to 381.00. Too bad more people didn't know about the forum.

By the way, here is a photo of Walter Schmidt in 1937 ( before he was promoted to Feldwebel ). He joined the FIK on April 12, 1937 and was part of the 2nd company of the Fallschirm Inf.Btl
( 2./FIB ). He, Kappler and Knacke were the sergeants of the 2nd company. I can guarantee you this was not his badge.

Eric, there is only so much one can do. Every bad Luft FJ badge on ebay sells ....every Czech repro FJ helmet on ebay sells......every repro FJ helmet cover on ebay sells. Needless to say, it is not because of ebay, but rather, a snapshot of the hobby overall. Few really know what they are doing......

With this particular repro badge - look at the way the metal reflects light, it completely looks fake - its energy (to be metaphysical) is wrong. You can see that this item was made to DECIEVE.

Dear all,

First of all I would like to say that I am not a specialist of Heeresfallschirjäger-Abz., but the English spelling of "1st" battalion, is completely wrong in German. Secondly also the use of the slashes between the abbreviations and the script are totally wrong.
