    From a page in my book.
    Have seen over a dozen Sumpf smocks with white RiRi zippers from many different makers of smocks, all had leather pull tabs.

          How very true!

          All the makers that have been presented with leather pull tabs missing can be encountered with the leather pull tabs present. It is common to see late Dietzel smocks with crude one, while other makers maintained their quality into 1945.

                                I once had a 45 dated Dietzel that had buttons at the cuffs and no snaps along the bottom ( except the two at the front ). And NO, it wasn't a cut-down smock ! It had no eagle, but it still had windcuffs ( with snaps) and a holster !
