FJ helmet??????????????

Am I wrong, or someone cut a M-16 to produce this???? Did FJ helmets cut from M-16 exist??????

Thanks Ade! For a short moment I thought that I know nothing, that this may be an original.... My small mind refused to accept the fact that someone could cut a nice M-16 helmet to this ridiculous thing

Do just like me..
I collect 1000 pictures of parahelmets from the internet and then I search for the one and only original among them...
It's quite difficult,you know..
When I was a boy we bought helmets for less money and painted them camo to play with on the street,some were quite convincing,later we got some from the local firebrigades that used German helmets after war..
They were painted white and black by the fire-fighters with original decals still under the paint though..
The whites are wintercamo now,the black probably FLAK.
We gently removed the paint from the decals and traded them for other things...quite harmless then...but "sleepers" now !!!
I guess the camo helmets made then by boys like us and fire brigades are now are in collections all over the world...vet purchased ofcourse !!!
And who am I to tell them...??
I did some time in the helmet forum and I was amazed howmany people think their helmets are original...
Same thing about the chicken wired helmets..
European area wire can still be found at old farms here...
Reliable dealer this and that...good source...my grandfather...picked it up at a vet...My knowledge says it is real...Mr.wellknown says it is real...
etc,etc,..
I've seen so many sh*t for big money and it's only getting worse..
In many cases "greed" is the word,not knowledge..
Well,collectors and dealers caused this problem by rating this stuff like a ferrari.....and even a ferrari ain't worth the money they ask..!!!
