In september 1943, italian soldiers of "Piave" Division surrender to german Fallschirmjager of 2. FJD

...9 months later, german Fallschirmjäger surrender to US Troops front of central railroad station of Rome.

..and this is for Luca Ongaro (the shot was taken in Via Asmara)

No Luca, I don't live in Rome, but my friend Alessandra live in the area where the Piave Division surrender to the German 2.FJD. The street of your photo is very close to the location of the first photo in this thread (the building in the background was the home of his husband until 30 years ago)
