Thanks for your reply and your understanding.

What I want and wanted to point out is that just as my good friend Yves stated, fotos of FEE are hot and in many cases you are not alone and other collectors make your live hard getting fotos of FEE in your collection. Especialy fotos with gliders. I am a guide in FEE and in the nearby future fotos of mine and Yves will be seen in our forteress. So visiters can see fotos from as it was in 1940-1944. That also is one of the reasons why I wanted to have that foto.

To the persons who state that this foto is know and allready published serveral times. In my opinion there is no allready know foto with the 2 Fiseler Storches on FEE. If so, ok, if not the foto is unique. I know for 100% sure that the foto is not the same as the foto in the book from Milan Blum.

Incidentally, since Patrick purchased the photograph that is the subject of this thread, I have received emails from several collectors wishing to sell items relating to Eban Emael and/or Sturmabteilung Koch, no doubt hoping to cash in on the present frenzy.

First I would like to say that I do not feel that I have to defend myself for paying the mentioned amount for the foto of the gliders landed on the forteress of Eben Emael.

I don't think people were expecting you to defend yourself, but just commenting on the high price the photo went for, as I am sure most were just surprised.

As you metioned other recent photos have gone for high prices, and those like yourself are avid collectors.

Congratulations on your purchase........ Having missed the original link to the photo, is there a small chance you may be able to put on the forum to view? If not I understand.

As a fellow collector of photos, I don't think that You should have to defend Yourself for paying what You did for the photo. I pay high prices as well and I don't mind doing so for the right photo. Some may think that the prices of a photo are too high but it is all relative. Compared to many other pieces of collectibles on these forums, they are a bargain and the History that lies within them can't be disputed. Best Wishes, DJB

Thanks for your comments. At this stage I am not willing to out the foto on the forum because of the things that were sad over me. Some persons stated that I have brain damage. That hurts. Sorry, but I hope you unserstand.
However, as a guide for 8 years now in FEE, I have a huge collection and documentation from FEE and the FJ who attacked the forteress. So, I hope I can make a contribution to all of you with the information I have.

I Personally have done also in the begin that I collect pictures from Eben Emael

I think that the price wath we give for these pictures, have also opened the eyes from some people at EBAY

If you see the pictures on ebay today, We have to spend money, Mate
