and on the side you have a place to put a sheet but what?

Inside it have some paint like feldgrau, it's good?

It's for pilote parachute or paratrooper one ?

          Hi,
Glad to help. BTW, the markings can be in black also.
The small pocket on the side I believe is for the small, blue, square parachute inspection booklet. I don't have one to show, but there have been a few threads on them on this forum.
Don't know about the feldgrau colour. Mine is tan inside and out.

You should ask Bob Sellers . He is the parachute expert on this forum. Bob ?

          Regards,
          Steve

I have a an early pattern parachute box but the colour was a dark brunswick type green, all the second type boxes I have seen have all been tan.

OK, I'm learning here. What's the difference between the 1st and 2nd types ?

              Regards,
              Steve

I think it's the "ribs" on the container, Steve.
Notice how your's has 3 while vdh's has none.

I have bought an RZ20 in early type container from Bob, he mentioned the container as the early type and, as Paul says it is dark green.

                Happy new year!

                  Hi Guys
Yannis is correct, the early non ribbed containers were in Green, the later ribbed type were tan painted. Stencils for the green tin would be white.
The stencils for the tan tins were either black or white.
Steve the inspection booklet would fall out of the side pocket, there not very big. The only thing i can think of is a slip card with the name of the Paratrooper who packed it his rank, the number of the rig and the date it was packed.Until we find an original photo showing these details we can only speculate. It really is annoying and i would love to find the answer.
                  Happy New Year to all
                  Bob

what an interesting question I think the letters and numbers are 8mm,if you use Steve's picture for reference you should be able to work it out. I'm sure this Font is still available. I've just had some stencils made up for my drop containers/Abwurfbehalter but these are 50mm high.It took sometime to sort out but the company i used did a fantastic job
