My DD Camo Para w/ Camo cover

Gentlemen, I share with you this DD Luft para that I acquired in the 70's from the vets nephew. You can see the birdie ghosting out from the yellow and green sawdust camo - usually associated w/ the 6th Para Regt in Normandy. The national colors are easier to see. It came with a camo cover that has three holes cut in it - two eyes and a mouth? Sniper or Arty observer? Who knows. Double named to Hauptfeldwebel and a JG. I thought I would share it w/ y'all. Rich

Wow! I guess that helmet is every helmet collector's dream! Looks like FJR6.

Super helmet and cover! Textbook cover in fact.

I agree it is most likely from FJR6.

I have seen several covers modified to be used as face masks in a manner similiar to yours.

BTW, I have copied this thread and placed one in the FJ section. I hope you don't mind.

I asked for a set like this from Santa, but he must have forgotten me...or perhaps I was too bad this year. Probably the latter of the two.

                Great set and wonderful find.

                Best and Happy New Year.
