Tank Badge, Glider Badge, Army Para Badge Combo ?

This is one of the more interesting photos I have seen lately. Judging by the early Luftwaffe dagger, the wear of the sleeveband, and the lack of any combat awards, I would guess that this is a relatively early photograph ( I would say pre May 1940 ). I am perplexed though by the existance of the Panzerkampfabzeichen in Silber. I wonder where, when and how this former Army Paratrooper, who is still obviously part of a paratrooper unit could have been part of an armour assualt between December 1939 ( the the badge was instituted)
and when this photo was taken.

    Any thoughts ??

Thanks to Marcus Eifler for use of this great photograph.

I would say, judging by the position of the cuff tittle, that it is not sewn on, just looped around and pinned for the photo.
I often suspect this in Studio photos.

then again, with studio photos, it could be that the guy took the uniform out of mothballs in 1944 to have some photos taken.

Either way, its a nice shot.

Notice also the the tress around the collar and on the shoulder straps has been inked out. Perhaps this guy got busted down to EM for something.

        Hi
I can't charge the pic. Is someone so kind to send it to me?
