Hi guys,

Is there anyone who could put a date on this photo? Also, are those fj mp40 pouches? The gun he has, mp41? And last but not least, what is the giant bad he is wearing around his shoulder?

As for the location and date, it´s most probably Poland (Wola Gulowska), September 1939.

Seems he has 2 bags... Might it be handgranad-bags ?

Poland for sure,it's Polish soldiers with typical headgear for the officer.
Bag is probably a field made fabrication.

It appears that he had field adapted a set of bags to possibly carry M24 stick grenades. He also appears to be wearing issue cloth mag pouches for the MP34 around his waist. The pic is dark but I detect a side mag housing to the weapon...MP34? in his right hand at his side.

Interesting pictures

Going on other FJ poland pictures i have seen here mostly i think,and because they did not para drop there thats why they did not bother to wear there smocks it seems.
