Which theater was this camo used?

I am trying to figure out which region this camo paratrooper helmet might have been used in.

This helmet is not in my posession and these are the only pics I have, but the pattern is pretty unusual and I thought somebody here might have seen something like this.

    Thanks for the input.

          Hi,
The photos are pretty dreadful, but it looks very similar to FJ helmets that are known to have been brought back from Tunisia. A thick (British?) green painted over the original tan. Of course it may just be a fake. Better pictures are needed.

          Regards,
          Steve

            pictures

            Thanks for the note.

I know the pics aren't good, but I was just hoping to get some feedback on where this type of paint scheme might have been used.

            Any other thoughts are appreciated.

Agree with Steve, but would also consider it could have been worn in southern Italy and then later repainted green, perhaps in nothern Italy.

                  Tunisia...

Thanks guys. I agree with you. It certainly has that look to it.

Now, how many paratroopers were in Tunisia?

I know of the Ramke Brigade and the Jager Regiments of the HG Division (formerly the 5th Parachute Regt.).

                  Who else?

Ok the FJ units im getting that fought there where the The Ramcke Brigade that came in from the east and desert against the british etc... and into tunisia later on.
And then came into tunisia to strengthen the defences where the 5th Parachute Regiment under walter koch, the 11th Parachute Pioneer Battalion under rudolf witzig, the Barenthin Parachute Regiment under Walter Barenthin.

So this info says "11,000 Luftwaffe personnel airlifted to North Africa in Ju 52s during July and August, the ramcke brigade part of this rest must be flak troops and pilots/ground crew etc...,and also minor luft ground troops,or signals etc...
So the 5th regt and para pioneers and barethin regt came later later on and numbered in the thousands all up for the FJ in tunisia i think. then.It says they lost a few hundread FJ in tunisia,i thought it was in the thousands actualy killed.

                        new pics

I finally got a chance to take some better pics, in hand.

It seems pretty obvious that there used to be chicken-wire on this helmet.

My first thought is that would indicated more of a Northwest Europe scheme, possibly France, and not Italy.

I just can't remember seeing many pics of chicken-wire helmets in Italy.
