    FJ Ring...question

    Hello all

I have a question about this ring that is currently available:

    http://cgi.ebay.de/Ring-der-Deutsche...QQcmdZViewItem

As it can be seen the swastika was removed from it. Now I have the exact same ring with the swastika still present. Does anybody know where those rings came from? Where they available as souvenirs in the "Mannschaftsheim" just like things are today, were they made by a certain company and are they actually WWII vintage or a post war items?

    thanks a lot
    Uwe

    Hi Uwe,
This rings could be bought in the Kantine.
I show a littlebit different ring from my collection.
It is well worn by an FJ-vet.It is stampet 925.
But it is also possible that there are many postwar items on the market.
    Greetings Karl-Heinz

Great ring Karl-Heinz! That is certainly one of the few original variations.

Here is similar to previos ring . This original ring was found on the positions of 6 / FJR 2 on 1942 in Wolchow front . The ring layed among the empty shells and equipment in MG point .
I read the book by Erich Lepkowski, he also had fought in that place . He wrote they usual took personal items and rings from dead FJs and sent these stuffs to home . Probably someone also took this ring from dead but lost it during the action . Who knows...

None of the rings shown have that cut out design. Does anyone have an example like the one originally posted?

Because that one is a fake. The others are originals.
