This jacket has seen a bit of service with numerous small holes & tears as well as some field repairs. Reputedly came from a veteran source in this country."

Aside from the wrong pattern and snaps....would plastic RiRi zippers have been seen on splinter smocks? I always believed they were only found on sumpfmuster, and not that common at that ??

If you could get detailed photos of the zippers on that repro splinter, just as the snaps, they would turn out to be post war produced. Splinters like this, made from authentic Zelts, were produced in the 1980s. A real shame and waste of good Zeltbahns!
