Thanks guys, I have always wanted one, but they hardly ever come up for sale (real ones) and the ones that do cost an 'arm and a leg'.....

This one has damaged liner and no chinstrap, but its got it own character and is a real talker.

Nice camo! I like the way the eagle peeks out of the camo after some sawdust was worn away.

                              Friends,
A little survey based on discussion on following link:
                              http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...d.php?t=685773
Is there any green/tan sawdust helmets with batch number 1337 (ET68) or close (ET66 and ET71), in your possession?
                              Best regards,
                              Mats

Mats, now that I give this some more thought I doubt we will be able to conclude anything regarding patterns of batch numbers. FJR6 was formed by cadre from other units, to include the Sturm Rgt. So, members of FJR6 could have been from fresh recruits to seasoned vets, with earlier or newly issued helmets which were all camoed at the same time.

Anyhow, my prewar DD is batch number 3820. and my early war with aluminum liner band is batch number 452.
