Thought you guys might have interest in this. . What I have photoed is nothing just all I had time for today. There were foto albums which I couldnt even go through. All was from an FJ Kameradschaft The large wooden case is krammed full of info cards on FJs.The banner hangs on that setup with the FJ badge, There is so much stuff I spent hours reading. The photos are incredible and were all donated by vets and includes visits to Crete in the 60s. Il lkeep adding to this thread as I get it all sorted .

Hank,,Ill post more next week, the fotos are unbelievable. Tons of weird stuff, a guest book with signatures from visits. A cufftitle somewhere buried in there. Lots of odds and ends.

I'm jealous and I'm sure you are having great fun going through all that. Veteran groups have some amazing stuff like this so you can imagine how much is still out there. I remember a dealer out of Mannheim who had a case like the one shown that he got from the FJ veteran group in Mannheim...in the box was the same kind of cards with original photos, soldbuchs, wehrpasses, erkennungsmarke etc. of the members...many of them no longer with us...a virtual archive goldmine!!l Unfortunately the family had to sell all his stuff off including everything in his Antique shop.....he got into trouble not related to collecting and went to prison. Too bad because he had an awsome collection of FJ and SS items.

Its is a lot of fun going through it all and the hours move fast. The case itself is heavy as a bag of bowling balls. The information in that case ittself is priceless. If you really wanted t o you could also use it to find more fj items.

Dion, you should definitely spend some time scanning all of this stuff and making it available to all of us FJ collectors. I am positive that the community would be happy to help fund this project considering what we would get out of it! Great Find!
