do you happen to know if there are any markings left? Looks like no paint at all is there, which I find strange (unless it never had any).

Be carefull, this could be a fake shell, that they let rust to make it look like a relic. The rust doesnt look natural at all to me.

This is an Ebay helmet. I've seen the same picture being used time and time again, so he has lots to sell in this condition. IMO he is stripping the paint completely from a repro, using acid or similar to 'pit' it and then leaving them outside to rust or doing it chemically. IMO complete fake.

He's probably got another 10 in his back garden rsting as we speak!
