    Fallschirm-Jäger-Regiment 1 Casualties at Iraklion?

Can anyone provide specific casualties figures for FJR 1 at Iraklion?

Also, were all survivors awarded for bravery? Basically, was it an automatic to receive the EK2 (or EK1 if EK2 was already held) for fighting at Iraklion?

    Thanks,
    Brian

Thanks Karl. You have a very nice doc there.

I'm curious if these docs were back dated. I was lucky enough to get a nice EK2 doc from Mr. Queen on this forum. It is also dated May 29, 1941, signed by Bräuer and includes the stamp of FJR1. I wonder if these were prepared on battallion level and later submitted to Bräuer's HQ for signing, at various times. Wasn't 5/29 the day the Germans actually occupied Iralklion? It doesn't seem like a good day for clerical work.
