IMO this is a good one. Have seen and held these before, material is ok, fittings are ok, condition is aged.

Please explain to me why this should be a fake.

Construction pattern is not correct, small details are omitted. Leather details are not correct. Sewing of leather is not correct. Marking is not correct.

Odd, how aged the leather and metal is, yet the stitching is so white....

John is correct. A very common fake. I have handled many of these fakes and they have plenty of mistakes. They usually sell for around a $100.

i see a few of these on ebay in new feldblau and green when were these manufactured early or late war? ive seen photos of fj wearing dual mp40 pouches one on the front and one at the rear side,did they ever wear just the one?

Six mag pouches were produced pre war and well into mid war. Have never seen a late war dated example, but finding one would not surprise me.

Yes, three mag. pouches were often worn as singles, especially when a pistol was worn on the other side.
