Paul, the upside down mark, that appears to be missing the "BERLIN SW", is just the beginning of its problems. Compare the eagle and the shape of the leaves in the wreath to Gerd's textbook 2nd pattern badge. Then the hinge and rivets, yours doesn't come close.

And for the coup de grace, the put the rivet behind the eagles head instead of the wing
