    Legit para helmet?

    Hi,
    Have no knowlegde at all about FJ helmets and this one has been offerd to me...

    To save your time, I'll post only a couple of pics...Hope ou'll be able to help me...I had of course looked before to the really nice ones on the forum but I'd like to be sure, thanks in advance for your help!

    The owner told me that he has recently oiled the exterior ....

            And last for now. If there are doubt I'll go on posting pics. If it's an obvious fake (I know that DD FJ helmets camoed with chicken wire are holy grail so I don't feel so confident...) I won't waste your time...Thanks!

                      To give you a good idea on visually inspecting Indian fakes without actually handling them, if you look at them, the liners do not sit right in the helmet pot. They are MUCH closer to the edge than an original. Also, the whole "camo DD chickewire DD with a bullet hole" should be a second dead giveaway. There are a number of others as well. Those are the two big things.

                      Not even worth a consideration. But in the future, if the liner is that close to the edge of the helmet, it is probably a reproduction. Look at some of the photos of originals and you will see a slight difference....I think its only around 1/2 inch, but its enough to be a visual dead giveaway.
