FJ collecting wish list for 2007

Giday everyone,

Listed below are five items that I want for my collection, all of which I know currently reside in other collections:

1. Wehrpass belonging to Otto Zierach;
2. Preliminary document for the Ritterkreuz belonging to Otto Zierach;
3. Soldbuch belonging to Gerhard Schacht;
4. Photo of officers and men of 1/FJR 1 taken at Stendal in 1938, and
5. Scarf worn by Hans Distelmeier during the attack against Eben Emael.

In the meantime I woild like to wish everyone good luck in their quest for new and exciting items for their collections in 2007.

1. More knowledge and research on FJ helmets so someday I can pick up my first one.

2. A "KURZ PATR." marked zf4 scope for my MP44. (not FJ specific, but has been on my list for a long, long time)

3. (Let me know if this one is beyond insane) A jump knife with US capture papers.

4. A semi auto FG42 for reenacting. I just found out that the price went up to $8500 each. Now I have to decide if I want to sell a bunch of stuff to pay for that. I originally had 2 ordered but will be lucky to get one now.

5. A good original photo of the unit which I reenact, Fallschirmjager Pioneer Batallion 1.

I have simple needs, just a complete FJ helmet (any pattern). Surely there are collectors out there using these common examples as wastebaskets. Someone PM me so I can stop being second in line whenever I find one on the open market!

Happy New Year! So, how many of you made any progress on your 'wish list' in 2007????

I took care of #1,2, and 3, with an additional cuff title or two and another camo helmet in addition to the Normandy. I also came across a couple nice document groupings.
