    My new FJ Award Badge

Any comments on my new FJ award badge - genuine/fake or part genuine....?

    Hello,

Personally, I don't like it and think it's a Juncker reproduction. At best, it's been repaired (catch is wrong). Would like to see the details more clearly, including the eagle claws and maker's mark.

Might be good, but I would highly recommend better, straight-on PICS for a more realistic and accurate evaluation though.

For me it´s a good Juncker with repaired hook.

        Possibly,

But what makes me hesitant is:

        - The rivets look not quite right IMO.

        - The finish looks odd; the black looks post applied and not period; the eagle metal looks a bit too brassy to me. These both could be PIC related distortions, but the overall finish looks a bit off IMO.

        - Obviously the catch is repaired and (if it has a base) the wrong style for Juncker (buntmetal paras).

        - The hinge looks too new, should be darker, but again that may be me.

The reverse surface and finish on the wreath looks very believable though!

Would like to see better PICS!

Like Tim I would like to see a better shot of the makermark and the back of the swas..,from the pics I'd say for the moment good with a repaired catch..

I also am of the opinion this is a good one with a repaired catch. Could be solved for sure with some clear images. best wishes,

Count me among the good votes. This badge has heavy wear, and that may be what makes it appear odd to Tim. I like it, good wartime wear character!

                  more pics

Thanks so far chaps on this one. Here are some more pics below. My thoughts are: Eagle is good inc. the rivets, wreath is good, pin looks very new but no signs of repair so thats good too, the hook has been replaced/repaired.

I apologise for the pictures, I am not used to this sort of close up work!

                  Anyway more comments gratefully received:

                      Much better!

These photos make it a lot easier to see what you need to and the finish doesn't look so odd as before. Congrats!
