    Helmet. Good or Bad Decision?

This is the only Fallschirmjager helmet I have ever had in my possesion, and then only for a breif period of 3 months before I moved it on (at a handsome profit I might add).

Now, some years later in this world of high quality fakes and re-works I would like to post these 2 pics to satisfy my curiosity as to whether I had the real deal or not? I only have these 2 pics so but I hope they will be enough.

    Regards Richard.

Pics are not clear enough to tell if the shell is original. It is very clear however that the liner, straps, and decal are no good. So in answer to your query, it was a good decision for you to get rid of the helmet, but a bad decision for whoever bought it.

              Good/Bad

So was it a bad decision for the new buyer, believing he was buying a real helmet ? Was it also a bad decision for the seller to sell a helmet he was unsure of ? Did the seller tell the buyer it was real ? How can it now be a good decision, knowing he sold a fake to an unsuspecting collector ? I could go on and on with this one.

Well, I'm sure there are cases where an unsuspecting buyer of a fake helmet will inadvertantly sell later on what he believes is original to another collector. I suppose it's a matter of intent and how much the seller knew before passing it down.

I purchased the helmet as an original item and sold it to a well known UK based dealer who literally snapped the item from my hands. To infer that I knowingly sold a known reproduction is completly wrong and unbased.
