Army para badge offered by Weitze

    Hello

did anyone see the Army Para badge Weitze has to offer? It's zinc one without maker mark.

    Any opinion on this?

check www.weitze.net and check the recent update in the wehrmacht section.

from the photo there are some things I don't like...

The hinge does not look right.
    The eagle has no 'beard'
no round plate for the catch

Just some observations, but could mean bad news or I could just be over critical!

Maybe I am missing something but I can only see one FSA (H) on Herr Weitze's website. It is a near-mint Type 2b badge in aluminium but the army eagle's head is misstruck, probably due to an insufficiency of metal in that area of the wreath blank when it was passed through the dies. Otherwise it is a perfect, 100% original FSA (H) made in 1938. Where is this zinc example of which you speak?

Thanks Rich. OK, I've seen it now. Here is a 1943 pattern Fallschirmschützen des Heeres. Like all original 1943 pattern FSA d. H, it was struck in feinzink by C E Juncker of Berlin on the same dies used for the prewar Type 2 badges in aluminium and .800 silver.
