Can you tell me , if this is a original eagle or not ?
I want to use it on a Fielddivision smock , is that possible ?

Hi Willem,
it is a fake, made in zethbann cloth i'm sure! i'd rather use a normal blue gray one in wool lw, you will not never wrong!

IMO IT IS AN original eagle AND IT IS POSSIBLE to use it on a Fielddivision smock (but iam not a great expert / it will be intersting to have others thoughts)

Yes,I also think this eagle is the most common fake at the moment...I've seen a dozen of these lately,they come in camo,blue,black,tan....

That eagle is a fake. Original eagles on splinter fabric are very unique. Would be more than happy to post a bunch of originals if needed.

If the jacket is a splinter HBT than either a standard wool backed eagle or one on green HBT would be perfect for the jacket. If the jacket is an early splinter over Grünmeliert, than a splinter eagle (over GM) would be correct.

Been there eagle

All the HBT ground troops smock that I have touched till now, with eagle originaly applied, had standard eagle on blue backing.
But I never touched a grunmeliert one yet.

Here is mine. Not the best condition but I love the been there look
