A new member is offended

Hello FJ collectors!

Just received a pm, written by an offended new member.

This guy is upset, that I wrote some notes about his questionable eBay and webside offers. Most were (are) items which he sold (or tried to sell) to WAF members around the world.

To make the story short, in his mail he asked me for the reason, why I wrote such notes about him and his offers. (ok, he used some different and more sentences for )

Forgott to say, this new member hondamonkey, is a German dealer!

Dear Mr. R.H. and all the others as well!

Please forgive me my ignorance. I did wrong with my mention about your eBay or webside offers. I just realised, that all the items are some kind of helpful artifacts which are worth to look at.

Each item (or most of them) will bring us collectors back to the most important point of collecting: Knowledge is power, as knowledge will keep us safe not to buy repro crap...wherever it******180;s maybe for sale.
I******180;m really getting bored about the mails and answers from offended sellers or offended dealers why we (here are enough who do that) on WAF try to help each other not to get burned by fake items.
We share knowledge and experiences here on WAF...that******180;s not a question of "was soll der Terz".

-If you******180;re one of the "questionable" dealers and you******180;re offended (I know some of your preceding posts on other forums, when you are "full power" choleric)....seriously, that******180;ll not bother us!

-If you******180;re a business man, you******180;ll have to live with us.

-If you only want customers who are satisfied, try to stay honorable. That******180;s normally the easiest way!

-If you want a world where it******180;s not allowed to speak an open word...change the world or try to find a country where it******180;s prohibited and where you can live in peace (sure there are some).


For R.H. in particular case:
Selling repro items as originals is illegal....allover the world. Buying TR repro items from outside Germany for commercial disposition as dealer is illegal as well (private German natives shouldn******180;t do that either).
I know, that you******180;re very fast on threaten with attorneys...please notice, that I******180;m not afraid!

....just to keep you on track!

So...if I get what you say correctly this guy a)sells fakes, b)knows he sells fakes, c)we know he sells fakes but d)is upset because we say (in this case you) he does???
Well... tell this Gentleman that one can not have the bottle full and the girl drunk at the same time.
It's great when they get mad at us, means something good is happening here.

Good for you. Offended-who cares? Offer to send him a box of tissues . Usually crooks without a leg to stand on always resort to the "I'll get my (like they have one on standby) attorney after you" at some point in their ramblings. Calling a crook a crook to my knowledge isn't illegal.

I'm in the same kind of trouble as you are. But this time with an UK dealer. Can I use some lines of you're excellent replie in my returnmail to the basterd who keeps on treathing me with lawsuits and all other nasty fysical stuff? I myself am not that good in English to put it so directly.

..that's rather funny.Do they know we WORK to earn the money that a passion like this involves??
what would they expect us to do? see fellow collectors or ourselves loose big bucks getting ripped by some reknown dealers that know they are selling fake stuff and then maybe thank them for the kind customer care??

Yes, many can get mad at what we say here. But, let us remember we discuss and focus on the items and not those who sell them. The items stand alone and tell us everything we need to know about the seller.

Great work! I personally feel there are quite a few shady dealers/characters hanging out on our E-Stand....buying great deals, selling their crap in return and most importantly not contributing anything worthwhile towards the forums. It's up to us to police them up and if they continue to sell their crap and act the way you have described...ban them from the forum. Just my two cents worth!! - Bill
