looking for help

Hello,


Im looking for pictures of Ludwig Egner, he was one of the Glider pilots who took part in the 10.05.1940 raids on the Fortress Eben Emael and the Bridges, etc ....

Is there anyone who has a picture of this gentleman ?

ps : I know it is not a Para per se but he was part of the first airborn mission togheter with Para's, etc ....

How are you? I hope that you are well.

My sources indicate that Egner was a member of Sturmgruppe Stahl.

A photograph of Egner seated beside fellow glider pilots Opitz, Bösebeck and Mayer, (Opitz and Bösebeck were members of Sturmgruppe Stahl, but can find no reference to a glider pilot named Eric Mayer in other reference books.), can be found on page 50 of the book, "Deutsche Lastensegler 1938 - 1945". Unfortunately, because I am not a member, I can't post a copy of the photograph on the forum. However, I will gladly send you a copy of the photograph in the mail if you so desire.

Thank you for your pointing out Ian, I know the picture you are referring towards as I spotted it also in Mr. Schlaug's superb book ( so there is no need to make a copy for me )

Anyone else knows anything more about Herr Egner or does have a picture of him ?
