Comments - Opinions - LW FJ Badge

Any comments/Opinions about this LW FJ Badge? Maker? It weighs approximately 36 grams and is very vaulted. Sorry about the shadows, but if I use flash, it "whites out" the details.

              Fake!
This type of eagle is used on many FJ copies, most with marker marks!

              Greetings

              Heinrich

REALLY???? ARE YOU DEAD SURE???? I want to make darn sure.

                52 X 42mm Wreath
                Nickel-silver Wreath
                36.5 grams

Look in A. Husken 1999; ORDEN UND EHRENZEICHEN 1871 - 1945; PAGE 338 ITEM 60,39a. Looks like an exact match to me.

Sorry, I don't mean to sound defensive. If there is a concensus that it is fake...good enough for me. I bought this a few years ago from a WELL KNOWN and reputable dealer at a MAX show. If it is a fake, then someone got's some splaining to do!!!

                  Hi Erich,

Start a new thread and post these photos on the Badge Forum, it will be viewed by more badge 'experts' there. It is bothersome that it is unmarked, not normal for a seemingly early badge.

                  Regards,
                  John

I will do that. Thanks! It just looks an aweful lot like a GH Osang to me.

Erich, many of the badge knowledgeable guys come here to view FJ badges too. So, just hang in there and you will receive plenty of comments in due time. I have a few "concerns" about your badge too. Guys like Lorenzo will give you more details.

                            Deumers are more polite....

                            Erich,

The feathers on your eagle are very detailed, however the patina of the eagle reminds me of a casting.....
