thanks Willi, I will try to find it. I have found few examples in the kurtz book, soldat volume eight (black &white pics) and of course the Eric´s book. I guess the best place to learn and find good pictures with little time is still this forum.
    Regards,
    Edgar

I got this cufftitle by the widow of a FJ vet.
It was fixet in a picture-frame together with a photo and his FJ-badge.
It seems to be produced after war, because it is not official.
May be the vets let this cufftitles make for their meetings.
      Greetings Karl-Heinz

Thanks for posting this one Karl-Heinz. I agree it was probably made for a veteran's organization after the war.

Agree also, not a fake, but post war manufactured for veterans. And still collectable.

I have collected cuff titles for close to twenty years, but have stayed away from Fallschirmjager examples.Too many good fakes!

                      Hey gang,

I don't know if this poll can effectively answer this or not, but there are some good fakes produced in many areas of our hobby. The fakes don't stop collectors from braving the waters in other areas, so why do the fakes scare collectors so much here?

I'm surmising that many collectors may simply not be as interested in these cufftitles as in other facets of the hobby. In other words, perhaps they'd like an example or two, but because their interest is not higher than a helmet or uniform, the easiest answer is "fakes are too good."

I think that with some good references, continued exposure and a little determination, most of us can get proficient in any area of collecting as long as the drive for collecting that particular item was present.

                      Just a thought.

                      J-

I even have an original EM cuff-title "changed" (post)war-time from Rgt 1 into 9.
Never worn as such but possibly altered for vets meetings .
So this is a (rare) original changed into something questionable...
                        Cheers
                        Peter

Is this how it should have looked before '9' ?

                            Hi tankkiller,
                            Is that a war-time piece?

                                nice one!
The embroided "1" from mine did probably look like yours. The remnant holes are still visible.
