    IMHO...Front view is not bad, but its back is a littl bit......odd.
    I 'm sorry I don't like this ASSMANN FJ badge.

        I'm NOT SAID it's a repro item, It might be "repaired" by someone, sometime, somewhere ... therefor I don't like it.

            the coloring on the wreath appears to be the artificial aging pewter product - it's very similar to a stain or varnish, but for metal to age it for home craft projects.

            I say that because I used it on my reenacting badge and got the same effect

              Interesting badge.The ageing around the hinge looks authentic since most Assmann Paras tend to "color" around the solder areas. Also, the rivets look original to me, just an "off-center" application. Also note the indentation around the lower part of the wreath that is typical for many Assmann Paras.

              I do not think it is fake. Also, it might not be "messed with"...just a poor quality construction. Better to have it "in-hand" for a closer look.
