Eric Queen's book, Red Shines the Sun, has a couple of photos on p.48 of the II./FJR1 standard bearer -- he carries the Infantry standard (still used although the FIB was coopted into the LW) and has a very light colored baldric [infantry white?].

Brian Davis' book, Flags of the Third Reich, 1: Wehrmacht, [Men-at-Arms Series 270] has a grainy image on p.47 with the caption, "The former State Police Group flag being paraded by I Bataillon, Fallschirmjäger-Regiment 1." The baldric is light colored with a dark stripe down the center.

Here's a link to an original gorget for sale.... just under $3,000

...and II./FJR1. If I understand correctly, they continued to use the army standart, baldric, and gorget after they amalgamated with the Luftwaffe.

Just thought I'd mention that for someone who might be interested in the II Bataillon.

            Cheers,
            Guy

                        Bob,

                        I found a repro Feldgendarmieregorget for $75: http://www.militarytour.com/Reproduc...ess/Gorget.htm

Perhaps you can modify it into a Luftwaffe SB gorget?

                        Cheers,

                          Hello Guy,

Funny i thought about doing this, they do reproduce luftwaffe FG Gorgets, but i think it might look a bit geek,if i could get a cast of the Eagle and Standards then maybe that would work, but it has to look right on the day.
                          Cheers
