    Fallshirmjäger Regt. 1 Sleeve Band

I just received this sleeve band in the mail today. It's cut down but I think it's still a nice piece so I thought I would post a picture.

      Hi Steve.

How would you compare it to this one?

        Hi John,

How would you compare it to this one?
We have differing magnification of the images but comparing the one I showed to yours I would say we are looking at a machine embroidered versus a hand embroidered version, yours being the latter.

Mine is for sure machine embroidered and I'm pretty sure yours in hand stitched but looking at yours in your hand, would you agree?

        Regards,

Though most of mine are like John's, I saw severalk in GP's collection that were like Steves. Steve, when you say "cutdown" does it look like it was cut because it was sewn on? Looks like I see some threads on it. Could you post a picture of the back?

          Thanks,

            Hi Willi,

The title of band was cut out and threads do remain around the band. There is about 1" left each side of the band text.

I'll go sort a reverse picture out.

            Regards,

                Rgt.1 titles

                Hi Fellows,

Nice title Steve. You are correct, the one I posted is hand embroidered. A dealer at this years MAX had a hand full of these unissued hand embroidered EM titles and they all sold at $1000 each, which was a good price. The same dealer brought two last year at $1200 each and they both sold for that. The one I posted is one of them.

Here is another. It was worn and removed from a tunic.

                Best,
                John
