When was helmet with flared rims produced? Winter 44? Or spring 44?

Hi, 4054 lot/ batch, so that could even make it end of 1943 as time of actual manufacture of the shell, it seems to me. They may have been issued out later ..., the few examples I have heard of with provenance seem to have been picked up in 1944 though, but they may have been worn earlier of course. The lot number game is a lot of educated guesswork only though.
