A new mp40 pouch Kreta 1941 ??

I was going through many books about the battle of Crete recently and i find a very interesting picture. It seems that the paratrooper on the left is wearing a quite unusual mp40 pouch with snaps... i never encountered this kind of pouch before. Maybe some of you will have further information about it.

It seems that the paratrooper on the left is wearing a quite unusual mp40 pouch with snaps... i never encountered this kind of pouch before. Maybe some of you will have further information about it.

Those are made by the company cobbler, there are quite a few pics showing them used at crete.
BTW, they also exist factory made.
