New FJ Video on Medal Men

    All,

Just posted our newest video on YouTube available here:

    https://youtu.be/zg_rK7Nqjmk

Please be gentle as it was not easy to get every piece of B-Roll even with the support of Tom Durante and others. For example, yes I know the image for the FIK actually shows the FIB, but that is life!

Several members here got together to make a high-quality militaria channel. Corona virus has changed our plans a little but with the extra time on our hands we figured this was a good time to launch.

PLEASE subscribe - it is the one metric above all that gets our videos into people's YouTube feeds.

    Thanks and enjoy!

Great video, but just a heads up. I've been doing youtube videos on medals for a long time. They remove and demonitize videos as the please. Jo Rivett had his channel deleted and he spent countless hours on it. It wasn't in the least bit offensive or racist.

Thanks Tony! Not really worried about monetization - just trying to keep busy through Coronavirus. If we do a video a week that will be fun. Plus adding American, Soviet, UK will be a nice mix. But thanks for the warning.

A very good video. I had forgotten a few facts on the Army para badges so it was nice to see that again.Thank for taking the time to make that video. Problem is I now want a cased Army para badge to go next to my Luftwaffe one

          AUSGEZEICHNET!

I'm amazed that the Fallschirmschützen could swan-dive through the door like that. I've seen still-photos of the FJ exit .... but it's really something to see live footage.

I really enjoyed the video and have passed it along to a colleague.

          Cheers,

          -- Guy

It would be cool if the cloth versions were shown as well but still, an excellent video. On a side note, who's the stranger talking at the end?

Excellent video. I did a static line jump out of a C47 in Arizona in the 1980s. If you get a chance to jump do it.

Yes, that would be cool! Never had a chance to when I was younger. Now with a bulging disc in the neck I would never try it....plus aging bones!

                          Closest aircraft to a Ju52 or C47 I jumped out of was a C123.

                          Great video Mr. G!

                            Got my wings!

Jumped C-130s, C-140s, UH-1H, and UH-60. Didn't like the helecopter jumps at all.

I have 18 Jumps out of a C47, up until 1993 South African paratroopers had but 3 types of planes to jump out of, C47, C130 and C160. The Dakota was always my favourite.
