Something you don't find every day...

    Hi Fellas,
Well once upon a time, long, long ago i was the resident FJ parachute nut on this forum but times change and you move on to other areas of interest within the hobby but you still occasionally (like a magnet) find gems that make your jaw drop, here for me are such items..How many original german FJ chutes or Aircrew for that matter come with there lines cut away?,some of you may remember i spent years going down avenues looking for suitable replacement line but to no avail, then a chance meeting recently and hay presto! NOS line kept by the family, apparently the Grandfather was a parachute designer before and during WW2 and kept many things including a ton of unused line still tied with labels intact

I know its not that interesting to most here but it does show even after all these years what is still out there, just a shame i didn't have the contact 15yrs ago..these photos are of the 1st batch i received...

    Cheers
    Bob

That's a unique discovery Bob. The things veterans brought home, as in this case, tend to relate to what interests/ professions they had. Interesting...
