Is this FJ cover a keeper?

I've posted another thread asking for help in authenticating an M-38 helmet I have.

This cover also came with the helmet.

I'm a helmet collector, and I know nothing about helmet covers. I don't collect them.

So, I'd appreciate it if you FJ helmet/cloth collectors could look at this cover and let me know if it is good or not.

The cover fits the helmet like a glove, and is in excellent condition like the helmet.

In this photo, I've taken it off the helmet so that I can take photos of the inside of the cover. For the photo, I simply laid it on top of the helmet. But when clipped on, it fits tightly.

    Thanks,

    -- Kenny

And finally, a closeup of the clip.

Although I'm not a collector of helmet covers (and I don't want to start!), for my own benefit I would appreciate specific comments about what makes this a real or fake cover.

          Thanks again,

            Hi Kenny,
            Your cover is a reproduction.
            Regards,

Sorry Kenny, but I have to agree with John. That style of fake is rather common. You can encounter them in water pattern and olive green too. Sometimes they have been artificially aged too.

                Hello,

I concur with John H. and Willi. That FJ cover is a reproduction and has at least one glaring flaw.

                  Thanks!

Thanks to all of you that replied.

I guess my original helmet was married to a fake cover!
