Looks ok are the fittings steel any way to tell which type are early period,
have the early knife looking for same lanyard.

Looks ok to me as well. This very same style I think was used for pilots as well. Not that expert on Flight personnel equipment, but remember once I found a pair of blue flight pants with several of these lanyards still attached inside some of the pockets to pants rings.
