Feldpostnumber related to A.R. (mot) 14

I have two Soldbuch from members of Artillerie Regiment (mot) 14 and both has stamped on the page 20 an entry from Einheit-Feldpost-Nr. 17249.

In the one from Obergefreiter Friytz Günther (later Wachtmeister u.O.A.) on July 7th, 1.942
In the one from Oberleutnant Hans Lehmann (later Hauptmann) on June 9th, 1.942

Only info I have for this Fp. Number is: 17249
    (1.2.1941-11.7.1941) Backerei-Kompanie 662

Can anyone help me to find which unit was related to this number at this period.

    Thanks to all

    Angel

It did belong to Bäckerei-Kompanie 662.

Only reference I can find at the moment is:

    9.10.43 Bäckerei-Kp. 662 in x-transport von Minsk nach Drozevad

Remember pages 20-21 were payments from any unit other than your own.

I wonder why a bakery company paid soldiers from the A.R. 14?

      Thanks Ian

            Hello Angel !

Bäckerei-Kompanie 662 was among the Army units of AOK 9, so it was in the same
general area as 14. ID(mot) (see scan fom KTB AOK 9).

In 1944 it is listed among Pz.AOK 2, so the the info from Ian is possibly connected
to its transfer from one AOK to the other.

The entry itself looks somehow unusual :
Is it payment for only one day ? (I thought usually it would be for a 10 days period).
Could you decipher what is written above the stamp ?

            Best regards,

            Archi

I believe it reads "Schl. or Sold. Erholung" meaning: Soldaten Erholung?

                Hello !

Many thanks to naxos for the deciphering .

I am really thinking what this entry could be about ...
Obviously it is not connected to going on a leave.

Could it be something similar to the "Führerpaket" but just at a lower, e.g. army level ?.

I've read somewhere in the AOK 9 records, that in mid 1942 a high number of soldiers had
not had leave for over a year. So perhaps this could be a measure to overcome this (a little bit):
allow some soldiers a trip to the rear for a day or two and allow them some time to relax
and to pick up a cake, some cookies, watch a movie etc.
This could also explain that there is only a single date stamped and not an entry for 1.-10.6.42 or similar,
just confirming that this soldier had participated (similar to a Führerpaket erhalten entry).

This is just a try of an explanation, perhaps someone has another idea ?

                Best regards,

                Archi

Hauptmann Hans Lehmann had a leave on July 14th, 1.940 and the next was on July 24th, 1.942 so more than two years without a leave.

Wachtmeister Fritz Günther had a leave on July 20th, 1.940 and the next on October 4th, 1.942.

This info is consistent with the info provided by Archi that those unit has a lot of soldiers who has not enjoy a leave for at least two years.

Thanks to all for the extra info.
