Never had the honor/pleasure of meeting him in person, but could tell he was special from our PMs and e-mails. The good ones always go too early.

I actually stumbled accross some of his e-mails the other day when I was looking for something else, and seeing them again reminded me just how helpful (and patient!) he was in imparting his considerable knowledge on the subject of paperwork.

Still missed, no doubt about that.

                Regards Richard.
Always looking for Luftwaffe Kampfflieger related document groups. In particular anything to Kampfgeschwader 2.

                      Hi Gents,

Having been out of touch on the Wehrmacht side of things for a couple of years as I am more active on the Imperial front, I missed the fact that Eric Jan passed away 2 years ago. I am sorry to hear this. He was indeed a nice guy. What happened to him that he died way too young?

                      Cheers, Tom
