    Hello !

Indeed, interesting Soldbuch ! Thanks for showing !

His first wounding must have been very severe, as he was immediately awarded the VWA (silber) and also received
    "Versehrtengeld" since 1.1.44 (p. 19).
Therefore, from March 43 onward he served in a replacement unit (SS-IG.-Ausb.u.Ers.Btl. 1) in Breslau-Lissa.

His last unit is also interesting : Rgt. "Deutsche Lissa". This was a Gneisenau unit, activated ~ 17. January 45,
and fought in Festung Breslau. It was part of Rgt. Besslein (see scan from: von Ahlfen, So kämpfte Breslau ).

Further info can be found here, especially the info from always well informed Roland_P (also member here) :

Yes terrific soldbuch, only shortfall in my eyes is he wasn't there in the battle for Moscow with the Der Fuhrer or ss Division Reich, (a soldbuch I have been looking for for years but have never been able to acquire)

Hard to get, not many of the participating soldiers survived the war..

          Best, Peter

Yes I think only about 35 out of about 2000 Der Fuhrer soldiers survived that first campaign against Moscow, incredible stuff.

            Regards Greg
