        Hello !

This is an interesting Soldbuch, especially that part, which is connected to the training of officer candidates.
        Thanks for sharing this !

The important entries in this Soldbuch for me are :
        p. 3 : 1.5.44 promotion to Feldwebel by : Führernachwuchs-Schule ...???... (not sure what follows), signed by a Kp. Chef
        p. 4 : bottom [D.]: first entry : Lehrg. f. Fhjk. d. Inf. 5. Insp. Lehrg. II Hannover
[=Lehrgang für Fahnenjunker der Infanterie, 5. Inspektion, Lehrgang II Hannover]
        - then Hannover was crossed out for Neuenburg, (and 5. changed to 1.)
on 15.4.45 : finally the unit designation changed to 1. Kompanie Führernachwuchs-Schule 6 Neuenburg

        p. 15 bottom : security check on 1.9.44 : place Hannover, but the stamp seems to be from : Heeres-Unteroffz.-Schule Mewe ?!
(not sure and also what is the word that follows ...)
(signed by a Maj. and Inspektions-Chef)

There should be a connection to Fahnenjunkerschule X :
Raised in Hannover (August or November 1944), moved to Neuenburg, perhaps early 1945.
Formed by a merger from two Offz.Bewerber courses from the Heeres-Unteroffzier-Schulen Mewe and Hohensalza.

How those two schools are related to each other is currently unclear to me. Also the change of designation used for the unit :
May 1944 : Kompanie, then 2 times Inspektion(p.4 and 15), then Kompanie again (April, 1945).

At least there is an official document, that uses the Führer-Nachwuchs-Schule 6 designation still on April 23, 1945 (see scan).
At that time, the school consisted only of the staff. The Fahnenjunker had been used to form Fhjk.Rgt. 1256, 1. Pz.Armee.
        http://www.lexikon-der-wehrmacht.de/...ter/GR1256.htm

I think the location of the school was : Neuenburg an der Elbe, ~40km NE of Prag (today Nymburk), discussed in the thread below :
        http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...ight=Neuenburg

I hope that explains some of the questions. It would be interesting, to see other documents or additional infos, related to
        Fahnenjunkerschule X or Führernachwuchs-Schule 6 (Neuenburg) .

        Best regards,

        Archi
