Sturmgescutz Abt 245 and Sturmgeschutz Brigade 242

I'll introduce a Wehrpass of a man who both saw action on front and did a long career "behind the scenes".

when he was hospitalized, in March 1943 the SturmGesh. Brigade 242 was ahead on the Ravenna Lugo defensive line (south of Argenta) and with 29 StuG III and 12 StuH available... and ends the Italian campaign the month after leaving practically all the tanks between Comacchio and Ferrara, passing the great river south of Rovigo and surrenders aroud Bassano / Belluno (north of Vicenza)

Thank You all for the replies.

                              Two questions :

What could he have done to obtain three promotions and the KVK while being in convalescence ?

Do someone have informations on Kranken-Transport-Abteilung 541 ?
