Nice Normandy and Ruhrkessel Soldbuch 272. ID Falaise Pocket

I have picked up this nice Soldbuch from Obergefreiter Paul Rungel, Fahrkolonne - Divsionsnachschub Units 216 - later 272 and last VGD 272.
The 216 ID was destroyed 1943 in Russia - so Rungel comes as Survivor to France - and was a part of the new formed 272 ID. With his new Unit he comes to the Battle of normandy - the 272. ID was destroyed in the Falaise Pocket....after this - Rungel Survived too he comes to the new 272. VOLKS Grenadier Division - with this Division he comes as US POW - i think in the Ruhrkesse in February 1945......
I think this soldier have a lot of luck......

This soldier was indeed one of the several of 216.ID, later 272.ID/VGD who survived to all the war. Even if not in frontline, a member of Nachschub or Fahrkol. was not at a quiet place, without danger.
Note that 272.ID was not destroyed in Falaise pocket, because it was not kept in the pocket ! Division was destroyed in Normandie.
