          These are actually RELEASE papers from Soviet POW camp.

          The first one, dated 27 August 1945, allows "Mateyo, Gotlip Karlov.(ich)" born 1906 to return to his place of residence, something like "Chenkhauzen." (So, Gottlieb whose father in the Russian style was Karl) last name something LIKE Mateo. Signed by Major Barbashy of Field Post Unit 61968 (second is from 61948, presumably another release camp).

          Second is harder to read because of the darkened paper and faded ink. Karl G(xxx)bner..... Perhaps some tweaking of contrast would help. Russian phonetic versions of German names are often mystifying.

            first few pages of soldbuch replacement issue it has his name in russian so taken pow by the russians served on the eastern front panz gre reg 74 and 27 part of 19 panz
