I purchased this replacement SB because of the intriguing (to me) entry for a pistol make E.E.
The unit of this NCO was the Art. Ers. U. Ausb. Abt. (mot.) 49.
From the equipment page we can see he was with the Art. Gruppe Wittenberge.
Wittenberge is a town near the Elbe river.
Any information on the battles around Wittenberge or these units? Google isn't of much help.
