Before trading or selling this group I thought I would share it because of some missing entries in the Soldbuch.
The Soldbuch “only” shows a Wounded Badge in Black and Silver.
Without the additional papers no one would have believed he was awarded both the EK 2 and EK 1.
Also the writings on page 1 would have been done as bogus by everyone including me.
The writings on page 1 were most probarly done after the war by the original owner.
Good to have the extra papers wich tells us more about his military life.

Nothing indicates that he was awarded the EK 2 and EK 1.

The year when the EK 2 was awarded seems also been changed by....?
It was signed by the Divisional commander Dr. Fritz Polack. (Knightcross with Oakleaves)

In the final days of the war, on 29 April 1945, the 29th Panzergrenadier Division, commanded by Polack, was involved in the San Martino di Lupari massacre, where it used Italian civilians as human shields against partisan attacks and eventually executed 125 hostages. The Military Prosecutor of Padua investigated the massacre an Polack's involvement in 1960 and, again, in 1995.

The last paper was a writing back home.
They tell his parents that their Son, Unteruffizier Ferdinand Grawe was awarded the EK 1.
This confirms his promotion and tells about the EK 1.

I agree with the post-war additions (vwith biro pen) on page 1 and page 3 ..... seriously wounded under the allied artillery shooting around Coriano on 10 September 1944.... interesting Falke group
