Hi Guys !
In the collection I bought some time ago, this WP§SB set is worth a new Thread, IMO...
I don't have the time to fully exploit it as it don't match with my research area, but well, the unit "3.(VW)./Pz.A.A. "HG" is probably not very common !
As far as I know, the Pz.Div.HG was reconstructed in May 43, its scout unit with 7 Coys :
Stabskompanie
1) Kradschützen Kp
2) Volkswagen Kp
3) Pz.Späh Kp
4) Pz.Jäg.Kp
5) Schwer Kp
6)Flak.Kp.(2cm)
In the excellent Book "Scouts out" from RJ.Edwards, you can even find the theorical equipment with VM 166 typ "Schwimmwagen" : https://books.google.fr/books?id=2-Y...mpanie&f=false
Of course, our experts of the Italian Front will note the Ground-Combat Days in "Cardito-Larivano", Cisterna-Prea, and the short stay in light WIA Station from the HG Pz.Div. in "Fontanoliri". The Unit was then transfered to Holland...
If some other Stuff mentionning a "Volkswagen-Kp." has been already shown on WAF, a link would be appreciated...
All comments, additions, corrections are highly welcome ! Lionel.
